Dare to Dream!

Whether the recent election felt like a triumph or a tragedy, the divide is eroding all that we could be. It is time for us to come together and see if we can dream a new dream that allows justice, integrity, and a new commitment to the natural world.

What if we began to join our common dreams and put our collective gifts toward what we would like to see? What if we joined on a weekly zoom call and shared the outcomes, we would all like to see, and asked the collective wisdom of the Universe to provide the how?

What if instead of attacking the “other”; we found the common ground? Beginning in January, I will create a Zoom call that is open to those who want to dream a new dream together and are willing to envision a world that works.

I don’t have the answers. None of us may know just what is needed. And yet, if we join in the prayer for a world that nourishes and provides for all of us, perhaps the how will become clear.

Years ago, in the midst of the challenges we faced, I was guided to write a poem that I share now as part of the motivation and commitment that has led me to this decision.

A Call to Common Ground

This is a time of chaos. This is a time for healing. This is a time of choice. This is a time to care. This is a time to stand and say “yes!” This is a time to stand and say, “No!” This is a time of challenge. This is a time for peace.

We join together old and young, frail and strong; to heal the wounds we have wrought for centuries. There is blood in our waters, acid in our land, death in our skies.

We join together to take up the sword of truth and the shield of light; to dissolve all boundaries, deceit, and judgment; to stand united once again; I and thou, in the Garden of Grace. The human heart is Common Ground.
